Sprague Home
My great, great grandfather, Oscar Sprague, came from a long line of “sawyers”. He became a finished carpenter and built many houses during his life, despite a bum leg from being shot during the Civil War. He built homes primarily in Ohio but as far south as Florida. In 1873, he built the home for his family, housing eight children, in Andover, Ohio. The house was unique in design as you can see from the picture. It is still lived in today and we had the pleasure of touring the house about thee years ago.
